Last night, I had the opportunity to hear Georgina Hopkinson, Patricia Manley and Mike McKinlay at another great event hosted by Alex Scriven, this time in collaboration with the Agile team at Charlotte Tilbury Beauty.
ā”ļøGeorgina reminded us that data isnāt just numbers ā itās a story. Timing and context matter. Share too early, too late, or without clarity, and you risk confusion or blame. But when you create a safe space to explore the data together, it empowers decisions and makes way for impact.
ā”ļøPatricia showed how powerful visualisation can be. Start with the problem, not the tool. And with accountability and contribution, people see themselves in the picture – š±š¶šÆ šŖšÆšµš¦šÆš„š¦š„! And sometimes, the simplest visuals speak louder than lots of explanations.
ā”ļøThen Mike painted the picture of flow ā that ideal state when teams hum in sync with confidence, trust and alignment. What enables it? Psychological safety, autonomy, clarity of purpose. What destroys it? Micromanagement, poor communication and a lack of direction.
For me personally, the golden thread running through it all is good communication and storytelling – it brings data, visualisation and flow together to set teams up to thrive.
Thanks all for a great evening! š
